WordCamp Boston is happening this weekend (July 14 and 15) at Boston University’s George Sherman Union building. After a booming start to our July, the Oomph team is energized and ready to attend, present and sponsor this long-awaited event that we know will leave you just as energized—and empowered—with new information, techniques and Camp friends to call on throughout your future WordPress endeavors.
How do we know with such certainty Camp attendees are holding a bit of a golden ticket? We’ve got an insider at WordCamp Boston, and he says this year will be another worthwhile WordPress weekend. Our own Erick Hitter, a leading developer and active member of the local and national WordPress community, is in his third year of organizing the Boston event. He is one of three original organizers, which has given him the knowledge and drive to create an experience that builds on the success of the past.
“This year, I’ve taken on responsibility for speaker coordination (gathering their information for publication on the website, etc.),” Erick says. “I’ve also provided significant input regarding speaker selection and general organization as I’ve attended seven of these conferences in the last year.”
Erick’s serial Camp attendance is due not only to his passion for WordPress, but also to his desire to bring to Boston the very best of what’s happening on the national WordPress stage. Most recently, Erick was a presenter at WordCamp New York in June. This weekend, he’ll be presenting Moving Beyond the Codex: Learning WordPress from Itself as part of the Developer Track. Get a sneak peek here.
Erick’s not the only Oomph pro who’ll be on hand this weekend. We’re sending a brigade to welcome you to WordCamp Boston and share the whole experience with you. We’ll also be available to tell you more about Oomph and how we’ve catapulted our clients to success using the WordPress platform. Contact us beforehand to schedule one-on-one time. Resumes welcome.
