With a CitySoft Community Enterprise license for content management, hundreds of pages of original research, and a vision of collating more than 1500 outside resources, the Peacebuilding Initiative (PBI) needed a system to organize and present their content in a way that would be intuitive and effective in an online context. To realize this goal, we engaged PBI in a comprehensive web design and development process that included documentation, sitemaps, wireframes, storyboards, and specialized CitySoft programming services. Even after a general framework was agreed upon, the overarching storyboards were enhanced through through several revisions. Once the revised layout was finalized, our designers produced individual storyboards for the home page and each major landing page.

Our CitySoft integration pros then extended the CMS to support the carefully planned information architecture that included as many as 4 layers of navigation, detailed landing pages, and a searchable e-Library that has come to house over 1700 documents (and growing!). The e-Library features collapsible details, topic and sub-topic filters, and a “my briefcase” tool that allows visitors to easily save and recall noteworthy documents.
