The Discover Conference promotes an annual three-day conference that Endeca holds in Arizona. Speakers from around the country attend and offer insight into marketing, social network development, eBusiness solutions, and other similar topics. The complimentary microsite promotes the conference and supplies an easy-to-manage timetable of events for potential participants. The design – by Nadine at GrowDesign – was implemented by Oomph.
The highlight is the agenda system, custom built to take advantage of custom post types and custom taxonomies, allowing simple management of multiple session tracks and time slots on the administrative side. On the front end, Oomph took advantage of Ajax technology to ensure a smooth and elegant experience for browsing the agenda, free of page reloads. The microsite also uses WordPress custom post types to allow easy management of speakers and sponsors, organized by sponsorship level.
